So...this is my last week in London. Boo! Therefore, I decided to do some sight seeing after work....on a Monday! gasp! Where did I go? Well, my roommate wanted to go shopping since his friend gifted him with a $125 Ted Baker gift card, so I went to Oxford Square...which is basically just London's version of Soho.
This is Oxford square. It's really beautiful. The streets are lined with shops!
same thing!
ditto...
So after a long day of shopping (2 hours!!!), me, Angel, and Joe went to Chinatown! We ate at a restaurant called Leong's Legend. It was sooo gooood!!! It's a delicious taiwanese restaurant; very authentic! Here are pictures:
* the menu! So official
Spicy Beef noodle soup - very spicy and delicious!
The table next to me ordered duck tongue, so I wanted to take some home with me! hehehe I'm eating them as I blog!
* What everybody else ordered: xiao long bao (soup dumplings), pork belly rice.
* This was awesome! In order to enter, you have to knock on the door. They have a camera that looks outside, and they let people in based on their appearance. Apparently, I was decent enough to enter their premise! I felt like I was part of an exclusive country club...
* One part of Chinatown. I had to get a picture of the arches. It's so beautiful!
* As we walked back to the tube station, we passed by the "W" hotel: it's next to Chinatown! Lucky chinese people....
So yea, that's what I did today. I actually have some pictures from this weekend, so I will blog about them when I upload those pictures....Till then, keep it real.

London...the continuation
Well, I have some time to kill, so here are more pics from my London trip! These were taken this past Sunday. I went to Westminister with my friend Michael Panara. We ended up walking all afternoon and ended up at Piccadily Circus...which, for you uncultured lot, is WAY north of Westminister....like 5 subway stops north of Westminister.
* Big Ben
* one of the royal guards in front of Buckingham palace. I like his furry hat!
* the front of Buckingham palace
* no explanation needed...as long as you can read
* Sexy view of Buckingham palace
* I don't know
* something arch...I keep forgetting the names!
* map of the area!
* It says " Duke of Wellington." I just had to take a picture!
* pretty ocean view
Now unfortunately, my camera ran out of juice, aka battery, during our trek.....so I only got to take these picture. But I've learnt from my mistake: My camera is fully charged and awaiting my next adventure!

London Town
Hi guys. I'm in London, which is why I haven't blogged in a while. But hey, I've been taking pictures, so please don't punish me!
* Thomson Reuters London Headquarters. It's beautiful.
* Calamari from my 1st dinner in London. I think it's hilarious how they served it in an Asian display!
* Beautiful view of the ocean. The 2nd Thomson Reuters building is that light rectangular shape to the right of that UFO-looking building.
* Mexican food! So delicious!
* Bank of London
* Original building where they do the foreign exchange!
* St. Paul's Cathedral! All these buildings look sooo regal!
* London's version of the "Occupy Wallstreet" movement. I really wanted to join them and take a picture with them as well!
* A british pub! The sign looks cool.
* This is the kind of riff raff I have to deal with on a daily basis.
* London's version of Chipotle! It was delicious! Soo good!!!
* Dinner menu at a pub! Yummy! I had the beef tar tar...it was delicious!
So as you can tell, I've been a very busy man....going from one place of London to the other. I'll try to update this as much as I can! Till next time....

New Recipe
I haven't had any alcohol in my system in a while...due to my being frugal and trying to save money. But fear not! Just because I don't want to spend money going out doesn't mean I can't find other means to place alcohol into my bloodstream. This is how my inspiration for dinner came about....so introducing:
Evan's Sophisticatedly Drunk Chicken!!!!
Ingredients: White Cooking Wine, Basil, Chicken Breasts, Salt, Pepper
1) First off, pour the white cooking wine into a bag. Place the chicken into the bag and let it marinate in the fridge for about 3 hours...so while this is happening, you can go to the gym, read a book, watch tv, take a nap, whatever.
* it looks so cozy in there! Nice and dark....
2) After the 3 hours have elapsed, place the chicken breasts in a casserole dish, spreading them out. Then, add salt, pepper, and as-much-as-you want amount of basil onto the chicken breasts. Massage them deep into the chicken breasts...and then let the chicken sit for about 30 minutes.
* this looks sexy, if I do say so myself!
3) Then, place the chicken breasts in the super duper George Forman Grill for about 10 minutes on its MAX setting. While the chicken is cooking, the kitchen should fill with a delicious aroma...so if you don't smell anything scrumptious, you're not cooking this dish correctly.
4) Voila! You're done! Yippeee!!!
* this looks really good.
Verdict: It's very delicious, if you enjoy a tiny taste of alochol....plus the basil really accentuates the chicken!

My first NY haircut!
Today, I decided to get a haircut in preparation for my first week of work! Gotta look spiffy. I asked my friends where they get the deed done, and I decided to go with one of my friend's suggestion: Kim Sun Young, located in the heart of NYC's "Koreatown." By the way, "Koreatown" is just a street that contains a whole row of Korean restaurants and shops.
Why this place? Well, my friend told me that they really pamper you there (who doesn't love a good pampering), and I figured I could also use it as an excuse to drag my fat ass to Koreatown and grab lunch...and that I did.
* This is me walking along 34th street towards Koreatown. It was super sunny. Plus, I found a gamestop, so I know where I'll be when NHL '13 comes out!
I ate lunch at a restaurant that wasn't too crowded...and unfortunately, I was super starving that I forgot to take a picture of what I ate. It was Jae Yook Bok Um...which translated for the uncultured is: Pork Loins cooked with spicy sauce. Yep, it was delicious.
However, although I didn't take a picture of my lunch, I did happen to capture something else equally fascinating and interesting:
* It's a "black man" in a Korean Restaurant!!!! Good to know that Koreans celebrate diversity....and that African Americans are beginning to branch out into Asian cuisine....
Ok, so now for my haircut. Like I said, it's called Kim Sun Young. Here it is:
* It's that silver thing....
* The place was legit!
Yea, my friend wasn't kidding when he said they pamper you. When I first arrived, they took my coat and hung it up for me. Simultaneously, they gave me a gown to wear as well as provide me with a beverage of my choice: water! And it was in a bottle! When it was finally my turn to get my haircut, they first washed my hair. And did they wash it. The nice lady pleasantly massaged my scalp with this flowery scented shampoo. Then, she put this equally fragrant conditioner into my hair, while expertly massaging my dome!
The haircut was also a pleasant experience. The lady knew what she was doing! All I had to say was "faux hawk," and she knew what to do! On top of that, after my cut was done, they washed my hair again to wash away all the excess hairs, while MASSAGING MY HEAD...again. Suffice to say, I had a great time there.
Anyways, I'm back home now...it's nappy time!
